Stalking Paula Deen

This morning our CREW scaled back the miles and did an 8 mile run (well, really it was 9 with the warm-up and cool-down--- I feel so flippin' accomplished by 9am!) around da island. We kicked off the run right.... throwing a mini-bridal shower for Charlotte! Note her white DetermiNation training shirt and white Fleet Feet hat complete ribbons & curls. Oh la la.
Going on a run... and she's gonna get Married!!!

Ok, coaches. Gosh. Fun is over. We must run... lawd.

Quick 1/2 mile warm-up followed by goofy dynamic stretching that makes me feel about as sexy as Britney Spears felt after she shaved her head and was smashing cars with an umbrella.

We start heading around the Island, past some palm trees, a golf course and then I came upon an amazing smell. Like biscuits, gravy, hoe cakes, and bacon!

Creeper, Creeper. Runner, Stalker!
So I lied. We didn't smell any of that fatty yumminess. We just ran in front of Paula Deen's house. She lives all of 2 miles from our place and we go past it a lot on our bike rides, but this is the first time I have had a camera. Apparently, Charlotte and I are not the best run-tographers! We kept on running past the gorgeous scenery and took a few quick peeks of the water. 9 miles done. BAM! Elite Athlete for DetermiNation.

Later day, I am going on the Savannah Slow-Ride, check it out! But before all that fun; I may take a little nap, read some for book club, and check out the 20 foot water slide a friend & her hubby rented for today :) TOTAL FUN!!!

Tomorrow is Sunday Zen at Fab'Rik.... retail therapy and yoga. Perfect mix!! Love weekends in Savannah. I really hope we never move. It is my perfect compliment.

  1. You REALLY need to work on your runtography! Love the description of how you feel doing dynamic stretching. Gotta admit - I hate 'em too. Good job getting in a nice run. Have fun on the ride!

  3. See David.. someone likes my photos!! Oh Karen, meet David, David meet Karen... both DNation peeps :)

Karen- most importantly her ribbon stayed on the whole time. I was impressed with myself!

David- the ride was a blast! I just posted some photos on FB. I will probably do a blog post, because I think the whole 1.5 miles in 3 hrs we covered was some serious x-training! Happy Sunday!
