Celebrities and Crabs

Here in Savannah we pride ourselves on Southern Hospitality. Well, I wasn't born in the South and I was raised outside D.C....although below the Mason-Dixon Line, it's not yes ma'am & sweet tea. I have been in Savannah for four years, am picking up a slight drawl, and mastered the art of making grits. Although, I do have to give my mom (mama) 99% of the credit... she does LOVE to entertain and even has an entire closet dedicated to tablecloths that are dry cleaned, pressed, and meticulously hung from one end of the color spectrum to the other.

Anyways, my point is I like people to have a good time. And that is no stranger to what happened last Sunday when we gathered our DetermiNation Team at one of our team mate's house (Thanks Nancy!). She lives on the Back River on Tybee with a dock and a view to die for!!

I don't think I would ever work or possibly run if I lived there....
So we held a potluck with tons of food and later some swimming off the dock, but before we got to all that fun stuff- we pulled up some crab pots!

We had about 20 of us total, talked about fundraising, and swam some more.... some people left as it started to become dusk. A few of us hopped in their boat (well of course with Nancy and her hubby!) and went to the best location to see the sunset!

That is "Country Sexy Man's" Boat house that is 2 doors down from Nancy's House!!!
And yes, I will actually keep my mouth shut and not say which celebrity it is.... but he is FINE and COUNTRY. And yes, Tommy is rolling his eyes at me while I am typing/reading outloud.

Time off note--- as you probably noticed, or not... my daily mile ticker has been stuck at my last run. I haven't been lazy or not updating it. Or just not posting on fb/twitter. Doc's orders.... no running or any working out til they give me the go ahead. Very frustrating, but I am hoping it's almost over.

Ok, well heading off to bed and am going to try and send my team off for their 12 mile run in the morning!! Have a great night!!

  2. Thank you so much! I have *hopefully* my last test/lab tomorrow morning. Doc is thinking it's a two fold issue... I am going to battle for one issue being on hold til after my wedding (which is subsequently after the marathon!). The other issue is going away with lots of meds!!

    How is your training?
