Yesterday was an amazing day! It started out with a training run with C.R.E.W. around the track on Hutchinson Island. We even got to see the Ferrari's that are in town for the Concourse d'Elegance. Talk about motivating you to run faster when you hear the *vroom, vroom* and you think your ass might get run over!
The run was just like old times. I was with my old running partner, Charlotte. Three years ago, we trained together for our first marathon; she the Marathon Corp, I the Disney. Charlotte has a much better track record then myself (as in she actually finished with an amazing time without having to throw a Princess crown on the ground!). Anyways, after our marathons we lost touch due to grad schools, jobs, life etc. But I am so excited that Charlotte is running for DetermiNation and running in the morning marathon group for training. We get to run together!
Charlotte is getting married about just over a month and I got the skinny on all her wedding plans. She even let me try salt tabs for the first time once we were five miles into the run (I think they helped). Charlotte is also the one who first opened my eyes to fueling mid-run. I will always remember running around Forsyth Park and trying a Gu, I thought I would vomit. I am definitely more a chew/sport bean gal.
6 mile run at a constant 12 min/mile pace (just a month ago, I was at 12:30-12:45 min/mile pace) then a 1 mile cool-down. I felt great the whole run and ran without music.

Fuelling during your runs is KEY! Congrats on the increase in speed! It'll just keep getting better from here!
